APPENDIX B TO THE RULES OF HEATHFIELD AGRICULTURAL SHOW
RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY IN HORSE CLASSES
In the event of Show cancelation fees will be refunded less 10% to cover administration costs.
EXHIBITORS MUST HAVE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE COVER TO BE ABLE TO EXHIBIT HORSES AT THE HEATHFIELD AGRICULTURAL SHOW.
CLASS RULES, REGULATIONS & QUALIFIERS
These classes are affiliated to UK Ponies & Horses. Open to Mountain & Moorland, stallions, mares or geldings, 4 years old & over. Registered with their approved pure breed society stud books of Connemara, Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh Sections A, B, C or D. Rider any age. (Please see Rule 7 of the current UK Ponies & Horses Rule Book).
Children under 14 years old on the day of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes. Hard hats must be worn by all exhibitors, irrespective of age. Ponies must be 4 years old or over. If a rider falls off at any time whilst in the ring, both pony and rider must leave the ring, rider dismounted, and take no further part.
Classes 205 and 206 are qualifiers for The National Welsh Championship Show 2024 - National Ridden Welsh Breeds Championships sponsored by The Brynsion Stud. All 1st and 2nd placed WPCS registered Welsh Section A, B, C, Welsh LR and FR exhibits (not already qualified) qualify to enter.
The Horse Trust Healthiest Body Condition Awards are an important welfare initiative designed to raise awareness of equine obesity. These classes will be judged by a representative from Cliffe Equine who will award a rosette in recognition of the healthiest in the class. UK Ponies & Horses Gold Medal Series 24/A18/8323
These classes are qualifiers for the UK Ponies & Horses Spring Classic 2025. 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed competitors in the relevant classes will qualify, UK Ponies & Horses do not issue qualification cards, however results will be verified by the office. Competitors are not required to be members of the UK Ponies & Horses to compete in the finals.
The two highest placed exhibits in classes 205 and 206 not already qualified will qualify for the Equifest Ridden Mountain & Moorland Final to be held at Arena UK, Grantham on 1st - 4th August 2024.
Classes 205 - 206 are qualifiers for the NPS/Ringside Stud Open Ridden M&M National Championship
1st and 2nd placed exhibitors from classes 205 and 206
