The Henry Noakes Young Achiever Award was devised in memory of Henry Noakes, a huge supporter of young people who encouraged them to pursue their dreams.
Entrants for this award should be inspiring young people who have overcome substantial barriers and made a long-lasting positive impact on their own lives and maybe even others.
They will have demonstrated an affinity with livestock or could have shown innovation or creativity in their volunteering or shown leadership skills in creating and developing projects.
They may have used their energy, commitment and enthusiasm to raise awareness, created something worth replicating elsewhere and inspired others or, demonstrated a willingness to develop their talents into new areas.
Entrants could be a young person who has founded or runs a charity or social enterprise, or simply someone who has turned their life around by involving themselves in the care of livestock.
Nominations for the Henry Noakes Young Achiever Award are invited from schools, groups or individuals who feel they would like to propose someone for the Trophy.
The award circulates between the four animal sections of the Show – Pig, Cattle, Horse and Sheep.
In 2026, the award will be presented in the Horse section to a young person under 21 years of age who is showing at the Heathfield Agricultural Show on Saturday 23 May 2026.
