Reduce, reuse, recycle
The Show is working closely with its contractors and visitors to better control the use of environmentally harmful products and is looking to use energy more efficiently for the benefit of all.
A huge portion of our sustainability programme can only be achieved with the help of our visitors. We encourage visitors to take their rubbish home with them, bring their own cups, plates and cutlery, and recycle as necessary when they are on the showground. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own filled water bottles to use during the Show.
We are already working hard with our traders to consider the way they organise their stands, encouraging them to be more sustainable.
2027, the Show’s 80th anniversary, will see the return of the Sustainable Futures Award competition, an award given to exhibitors in recognition of their environmental and sustainability ethos while exhibiting at the Show. All trade stand exhibitors will be invited and encouraged to take part.
A Park & Ride service from the centre of Heathfield runs on Show Day to help minimise the impact of cars on the showground and in the immediate area.
