Do we have to buy tickets in advance?

We are encouraging visitors to purchase tickets in advance to help us control the numbers on the Showground at any one time.  Tickets can be purchased online, or via your mobile phone right up to entry into the Showground. Before Show Day, early bird discounted ticket prices apply.  Buy tickets now 

Travel to the Show?

Free car parking is available to the west of the Showground off Halley Road (TN21 8TG) and to the east of the Showground off the A265 coming from Burwash (TN21 8XJ).

Free park and ride is available from the Clock Tower bus stop in Heathfield High Street from 9.30am and the Heathfield Market Car Park (TN21 8RA) at 9.45am. Thereafter the Buses leave the Clock Tower hourly at 20 minutes past the hour, stopping at the Market Car Park 10 minutes later. You will be dropped at the Green Gate entrance to the Showground at the top of Halley Road. Return buses leave the Showground at quarter to the hour.  The last bus leaves the Green Gate entrance at 5.30pm.

Cyclists can secure bikes to the fence behind the Show Secretary’s office, which is located behind the Members’ area on the east side of the Showground.  Cyclists must dismount and not cycle on the Showground.

Do you provide Park and Ride?

Free park and ride is available from the Clock Tower bus stop in Heathfield High Street from 9.30am and the Heathfield Market Car Park (TN21 8RA) at 9.45am. Are there any cash points on the Showground

Cash points are available from Cash4Events located at the end of the Members' marquee near the Secretary's office.

Are there any baby changing facilities?

Baby changing facilities are available in the ‘Green Shed’ toilet block situated at the bottom of Rows D & E, in the WI marquee in Row K and on The Sanctuary Space (Churches Together)

Lost property

Lost property is held at the Secretary’s Office behind the Members’ marquee on Show day. Enquiries outside Show day should be made to the Show Secretary’s Secretary@heathfieldshow.org or 01435 864587

Disabled facilities

Disabled toilets are located beside the ‘Green Shed’ toilet block situated at the bottom of Rows D & E.  There is forward parking reserved in both car parks for disabled blue badge holders. On application to the Membership Secretary there is limited pre-booked parking spaces for cars transporting disabled people on the Showground. This must be applied for in advance of Show day.

Disabled Showground access:  Disabled people pay full price entry to enter the Show, essential carers go free.

Wheelchairs, mobility scooters etc:  Users of wheelchairs, mobility scooters and other walking aids enter the Showground at their own risk and should be aware that this is a green field site, used as agricultural fields for cattle and sheep for 340 days of the year, therefore the ground under foot is uneven.  Manoeuring around the Showground using these aids, even in good dry weather, is not recommended.  We install a limited amount of temporary roadway, more for the benefit of vehicle access than ease of walking.

Are dogs allowed on the Showground?

Dogs are not encouraged to attend the Heathfield Show as there are many areas of the Showground where dogs are not allowed. Dogs must be under control at all times and kept on a short fixed length lead (retractable leads are not acceptable) and never left unattended. On a nice day, the Showground can get very hot and there is not much shade. Please be aware, if dogs are left in cars, they will be liberated by our Stewards – with force if necessary.

What eating facilities are on the Showground?

Food outlets are located in the Food Marquee situated on the end of Row A in the north east area of the Showground. The Farmers’ Market and Picnic Area between Rows J and H. Additionally, there are food concession outlets marked on the Show ground map.

Where are lost children taken?

Lost children will be cared for within the First Aid centre at the Blue gate on the north side of the Showground.

Are there any pre-arranged meeting points?

It is suggested that groups of visitors organise their own meeting points. But, if this has not been put in place then meet at the Show Secretary’s office behind the Members area where an announcement can be made over the Show tannoy system.

What time does the Show open and close?

Opening times:   8.30am - 5.15pm.

Where are the toilet facilities on the Showground?

Toilets are available throughout the Showground, see the map in the centre of the Programme for their locations, alternatively there are maps located on the fingerboards around the Showground.

How much do the programmes cost?

We distribute our programmes free of charge when visitors enter the Showgorund.  The full colour souvenir programme can also be picked up from the Secretary’s office.

How can I get involved in helping out at the Heathfield Show?

We always look for new people to help, either on Show day or during the Show build-up.  Being part of the Heathfield Show team offers new experiences, challenges, learning and most of all, fun. We are passionate about our Show, our Volunteers, and our Visitors, and we hope you can be too.
