APPENDIX B TO THE RULES OF HEATHFIELD AGRICULTURAL SHOW
RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY IN HORSE CLASSES
In the event of Show cancelation fees will be refunded less 10% to cover administration costs.
EXHIBITORS MUST HAVE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE COVER TO BE ABLE TO EXHIBIT HORSES AT THE HEATHFIELD AGRICULTURAL SHOW.
CLASS RULES, REGULATIONS & QUALIFIERS
These classes are affiliated to the UK Ponies & Horses. Open to Mountain & Moorland stallions, colts, fillies, mares or geldings, any age. To be shown in hand. Registered with the approved pure breed society stud books of Shetland, Connemara, Dartmoor, Dales, Exmoor, Fell, Highland, New Forest or Welsh. Ponies are to be trimmed within their breed society specification. Manes must not be plaited and tails not braided. Ponies are restricted to the height limits laid down by their appropriate breed societies and may be measured at the judge’s discretion. All stallions must be adequately bitted.
Classes 201 and 202 are qualifiers for The National Welsh Championship Show 2024 - National Gelding In-Hand Championship sponsored by Sarum Stud. All 1st and 2nd placed WPCS registered Welsh Section A, B, C and D (not already qualified) qualify to enter.
The Horse Trusts Healthiest Body Condition Awards are a welfare initiative designed to raise awareness of equine obesity. These classes will be judged by a representative from Cliffe Equine who will award a rosette in recognition of the healthiest in the Class. UK Ponies & Horses Gold Medal Series 24/A18/8323
These classes are qualifiers for the UK Ponies & Horses Spring Classic 2025. 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed competitors in the relevant classes will qualify. UK Ponies & Horses do not issue qualification cards, however results will be verified by the office. Competitors are not required to be members of UK Ponies & Horses to compete in the finals.
The two highest placed exhibits in classes 201 and 202 not already qualified will qualify for the Equifest In-Hand Mountain & Moorland Final to be held at Arena UK, Grantham on 1st - 4th August 2024.
Classes 201 and 202 are qualifiers for the NPS/Absorbine M&M In Hand National Championship
NPS/Blackator & Sharptor Studs M&M In Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship
A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the M&M In Hand section. Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification.
Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh A & B. Mares, Shetlands, stallions or geldings of any age.
