APPENDIX B TO THE RULES OF HEATHFIELD AGRICULTURAL SHOW
RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY IN HORSE CLASSES
In the event of Show cancelation fees will be refunded less 10% to cover administration costs.
EXHIBITORS MUST HAVE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE COVER TO BE ABLE TO EXHIBIT HORSES AT THE HEATHFIELD AGRICULTURAL SHOW.
Classes 175, 176, 177 and 178 are qualifiers for the Amateur Championships at The Royal International Horse Show. The highest placed unqualified horse in each section in each class in the Hack, Cob and Riding Horse classes will qualify for the RIHS Amateur final, with the two highest placed unqualified horses qualifying in the Maxi Cob class.
Please refer to rule 7b in the 2024 BSHA Rulebook.
The Amateur qualifying classes may be entered on a day ticket, but appropriate membership and horse registration must be applied for within 14 days of the qualifier in order to confirm qualification.

The Horse Trust Healthiest Body Condition Awards are an important welfare initiative designed to raise awareness of equine obesity. These classes will be judged by a representative from Cliffe Equine who will award a rosette in recognition of the healthiest in the class. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified in classes 175 - 178 will qualify for the Equifest Ridden Final to be held at Arena UK, Grantham on the 1st - 4th August 2024.
1st, 2nd and 3rd placed competitors in classes 175 - 178 will qualify for the UK Ponies & Horses Ridden Gold Medal Series (Affiliation No. 24/A18/8323) at the UK Ponies & Horses Spring Classic 2024 to take place at Onley Equestrian Centre. Competitors are not required to become members of UK Ponies & Horses to compete at the Spring Classic. Qualification Cards are not handed out in the ring; however, results can be verified by the Office.
THE HEATHFIELD & DISTRICT AGRICULTURAL SHOW TALBOT PERPETUAL CHALLENGE CUP for the horse owned by an exhibitor, living within 30 miles of the showground, in classes 175 - 178 (To enter please state BC on entry if eligible.)
Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over; exceeding 155cms - to be judged as Cobs
THE HEATHFIELD AGRICULTURAL SHOW SOCIETY BROAD OAK CUP to be presented to the winner.
